For Slovak and Dutch speakers
Abado teaches Dutch to Slovak speakers and Slovak to Dutch speakers. You learn words in full sentences and conversations, then practise them in short exercises, minigames and review that follows a plan.
First step: open the app and choose your course.
From a sentence you know to the other language in context.
The real app
Three live demos straight from the app, shown here in the Dutch-for-Slovak course: a short exercise, a conversation and the Word Snake minigame.

Learn
Words come back in sentences and conversations, so you see how they work in an everyday situation.
Minigame
The same vocabulary in a game: the snake hunts the right translation. Bubble Pop, Diamond Miner and more are in the app.
The method in three steps
You do not have to plan your whole route. Start with one short chapter and the app makes the next concrete step visible.
Choose a chapter and meet words in full sentences, conversations and explanations in a language you already read.
Practise what a word means, how it sounds or how to say it. If you want a change, use the same words in a minigame.
The review plan builds a list for today from new and scheduled items. The pace stays yours.
What is in the app
Every part has one job: understand it, try the language yourself, and come back to it at a scheduled moment.
Chapters combine vocabulary, practice sentences and conversations instead of loose word lists.
You can listen to the pronunciation of words. Whether speech works depends on your browser and device.
The app works with what is new and what is due for review. You choose the pace for today.
Word Snake, Bubble Pop, Diamond Miner and other game forms give the same vocabulary a new context.
Overviews, achievements and in-game rewards show what you have done and what you can practise next.
